Supporting clinical labs in meeting quality standards and regulations
Clinical labs are under scrutiny to meet quality regulations and standards to ensure accuracy, quality, reliability and compliant reporting of laboratory testing. We understand the need to comply with the highest quality standards and ensure patient data security. That’s why we provide cutting-edge technology and a wide range of support services from our AdvancedQC™ peer group program to secure data transmission to the LIS. Whether your lab is accredited by CAP in the United States, UKAS in the United Kingdom, COFRAC in France, or another accreditation service, we can help you deliver patient results quickly and securely while maintaining compliance.
Our products—from our matrix-based osmolality controls to our Artel liquid handling calibration and verification—are designed to help clinical laboratories comply with accreditation and quality systems requirements in support of national regulations. For example, ISO 15189:2022 specifies requirements for quality and competence for medical laboratories. Our Artel portfolio of products, services, and trainings can assist laboratories accredited to this standard in fulfilling requirements related to calibration and verification of pipettes and automated liquid handling systems, as well as training and competence assessments of pipette operators.
Calibrations and routine tests are a necessity to ensure continued data quality and consistent assay performance. Definitions, requirements and acceptable methods for measuring the volumetric performance, including dual-dye ratiometric photometry, are described in ISO 8655 Parts 7 & 8, as well as ASTM E1154 for manually-operated liquid handling devices, and ISO 23783 Part 2 for automated liquid handlers. Our liquid handling liquid handling calibration and verification products, services, and trainings can help you conform to all liquid handling quality requirements.
